About Me
Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn to the magic of storytelling and the art of creating characters that blend scientific accuracy with artistic vision.
Since 2016, I have been an integral part of the Character Department at MPC, specializing in sculpting, surface detailing, texturing, lookdev, and concept development, with a particular focus on hero characters.
My love for art was sparked early in childhood, inspired by the works of Stan Winston, Miyazaki, Otomo, David Lynch, as well as animation and fantasy films. Their deep thematic narratives, hand-drawn masterpieces, surreal visuals, and seamless blend of practical and digital effects fueled my drive to create characters that resonate deeply with audiences.
Academically, I began with a foundation in science and art in high school, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Design and Computer Generated Animation in Rome, where I honed my skills in filmmaking techniques.
After graduating in 2014, I started my career in London's advertising industry, crafting innovative campaigns for renowned clients like Strongbow, Honda, Jägermeister, and Asics.
My enthusiasm for characters and storytelling led me to the film industry, and in 2016, I joined MPC's Character Department. My role involves building workflows, leading teams, hands-on work, and collaborating closely with supervisors, clients, and directors.
I approach every project with meticulous research and a scientific eye, drawing inspiration from the natural world. My love for biology informs my work, leading to in-depth studies as foundation work for believability.
Every project has been a privilege — from bringing Major Kusanagi and Kuze to life in “Ghost in the Shell” to working on Ivan the gorilla in “The One and Only Ivan”, a character that holds a special place in my heart.
Today, I continue to refine my eye for design and detail, driven by the same spark that inspired me as a child and brought me to where I am today.
